Hello! My name is Melanie, and I am an motion designer, illustrator, and content creator from Denver, Colorado. I have been creating videos since 2016 and love to create educational videos on tough-to-explain topics. For the past two years I have grown a YouTube channel from 0 subscribers to over 50,000 and garnered over 25 million views. But at the heart of it all, my goal is to make education fun for people by adding great graphics and good storytelling.

Software Skills: For content creation, I use Premiere, After Effects, and CapCut. For illustration work, I use Procreate, but also know Photoshop and Illustrator. My first love was 3D modeling. When I started in the industry, I spent most of my time in Cinema 4D, and then moved to modeling and animating characters in Blender. So while I have a lot of skills and hours in 3D softwares, I am a bit rusty. :)

WHERE AM I NOW?

Ok, sometimes people find their way here and wonder why I haven’t updated the site in awhile. Am I still even making videos? The short answer is…yes. I have been building www.drawntobooks.com and the Drawn to Books YouTube channel to over 50,000 subscribers! It’s been a fun journey, but it takes all my time to create videos for the channel. So while I can’t update this site at the moment, rest assured I have been putting more hours into making videos than ever. If you want to see my current work, check out the YouTube Channel.
